The Raiders played long ball against Yorktown at home on Thursday, outscoring the Tigers 9-7. Three Raiders went deep in the game, including Lydia Schwagmeier (2 run homer) Aleyna Sharritts (solo shot back to back with Schwagmeier), and pitched Olivia Watson (solo bomb). Gabby Patrick broke the game open with a bases loaded triple in the 4th inning. The junior also had a sacrifice fly RBI, giving her 4 on the night. Schwagmeier finished 2 for 2, scored twice and had 3 RBI. Tarran Mills was 1 for 3 and scored twice and Kaelyn Castor was 1 for 2 and scored for SHS. Olivia Hionesly and reese Sprunger also had hits for Shenandoah. Olivia Watson threw a complete game against a very talented Yorktown team. In fact, the Tigers are the only team that has defeated #1 New Palestine this season (the Dragons are 15-1). Watson gave up only 2 earned runs to Yorktown and struck out 6.
