In the second game for SHS, they faced off with Blue River Valley, who had defeated Tri earlier 9-8. The Vikings jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after 1.5 innings. That is when Raider relief pitching kicked in! Micah Cole and Kaden Randolph combined to pitch 5.2 innings of stellar baseball. While the duo combined to give up 8 hits, the Vikings were only to tally a single earned run and 1 unearned run. The pair struck out 5. With the BRV scoring surge slowed, the Raiders were able to claw their way back into the contest. The Raiders got doubles from Drew Fredenburg and Collin Osenbaugh. Osenbaugh also tripled in the contest and stole 2 bases. Fredenburg drove in 3 runs, including the game winner in the bottom of the 7th that provided the winning run. That game winner was set up when Harrison Jessup was hit by a pitch to start the Raider half of the 7th. He moved to 2nd on a passed ball and was bunted to third by Aiden Coffey. He came home on the sac fly off the bat of Fredenburg. For their efforts, Osenbaugh, Fredenburg, Ethan Loy and Coffey were named to the All County Tourney team while Coach Painter awarded game balls to his two relief aces.
