Raiders Take County Baseball Championship

Shenandoah captured the Henry County Baseball Tournament on Saturday with a pair of wins. In the opening round the Raiders got strong efforts on the mound from a trio of pitchers that combined to hold Knightstown to 5 hits in a 6-3 win. Collin Osenbaugh started and went 3 innings. The junior gave up a single hit and struck out 6 Panther batters. Senior Ethan Loy was up next. Loy gave up all 3 runs (2 earned) and struck out 2. Drew Fredenburg got the final 4 outs for the save. Loy pounded 2 hits, scored a run and drove in one. His double was the only extra base hit for Shenandoah. Sophomore Garrett May matched Loy's hit total with 2 singles and also drove in a run. Aiden Coffey drove home the Raiders first run in the 2nd inning. His 2 out single scored Kaden Randolph. Randolph reached base twice on a walk and being hit by a pitch. Coffey was on base all 3 times as he also walked twice. Ezra Byrd and Maddox Davis had the other RBIs for the Raiders.
