The Raider baseball team raised their record to 7 and 3 with a come-from-behind win over county rival Knightstow on Saturday. After getting 2 in the top of the first, Knightston plated 8 of their own to give them a six run cushion after 1. The Raiders came back with 2 in the 2nd and 2 in the third but gave up 2 in the bottom of the third and trailed 10-6. SHS pitching held the Panthers to 1 run the rest of the way and the offense responded with 7 runs over the final 3 innings. Leading that offense with 2 hit days were Drew Fredenburg, Maddox Davis, and Ezra Byrd. Byrd had the only extra base hit with a double. The junior drove in 4 Raiders on the day. Collin Osenbaugh made the best of his day also. The junior went 1-1 with 4 walks and drove in 3 and scored 3 runs. Ethan Taylor secured his first win of the season with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. The sophomore accounted for 5 of the 8 outs he got with strike outs of KHS batters. Kaden Randolph was also instrumental on the mound as he pitched 3.1 innings and gave up 2 hits and 3 runs.
